This December, we presented the book entitled Igrodrom: Everything you need to know about video games and gaming culture, which our Lab has been looking forward to for over a year! This book was published by the Bombora publishing house and is written by Alexander Vetushinskiy, a philosopher, researcher at the Department of Philosophy of Lomonosov Moscow State University, lecturer at HSE Art and Design School, and an employee of the Sber Gamification Lab.

During the presentation, the following key questions addressed in the book were discussed:

  1. What role and place do video games have within the game's history and culture?
  2. How far has the game industry gone so far?
  3. When did video games become a full-fledged part of the world's culture?
  4. How have scholars contributed to the understanding of video games, and what are the main features of scientific research on video games?
